Whey protein is a high-quality protein supply derived from cow’s milk which has gone through the cheese-creating method. There are many sorts of whey protein supplements offered as well as whey protein.

The key to maximizing the potential advantages of whey protein is to consume the correct quantity at the right time in your daily activities.

Let’s see when is the best time to drink whey protein and some considerations related to it.

    In The Morning

One of the simplest time to consume whey protein is in the morning where your body is in the high need of high-quality protein such as whey. A whey protein drink consumed before breakfast is very effective at serving to assist weight loss and maintain lean muscle mass.

By drinking a protein shake with some nutritional meals like orange juice or a banana blended in as soon as you wake up, you’ll be able to stop this muscle breakdown dead in its tracks and place yourself back in the situation where you have got more protein available for your body.

One more effective time to drink whey protein is straight away after your daily workout. Physical activity such as intense exercise let your muscles need in protein to start out the muscle tissue rebuilding and growing process. This is the most vital time to consume a high-quality protein, like whey protein where it offers the benefit of being a quick-absorbing protein source. It begins to work comparatively quickly compared to different protein sources, like eggs, casein or soy.

During 30-60 minutes of exercise, your muscles are like sponges and take up nutrients as well as protein. Your body also utilizes carbohydrates a lot of efficiently throughout this period so drinking your protein shake with some nutritional meals can facilitate your body with a lot of amino acids and utilize them for ongoing tissue repair and growth.

    Suitable Types and Amount

Drinking whey protein in excess in fact will not assist in quicker muscle gains so avoid consuming too much of it. Take 20-25 g of whey protein per day. Drink this amount in the morning and after doing workout. Select a whey protein which contain a minimum of 80% protein by weight.

I would like to recommend Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard as it is able to pack 24 grams of the purest muscle-building protein per serving with a lot less of the fat, cholesterol, lactose, and other stuff that you can do without.

Some Considerations on Drinking Whey Protein

As with any nutritional supplement, take your time to consult with your doctor before starting a drinking whey protein. Besides that avoid drinking whey supplements that exceed your daily protein need.

Great article. I have had much success with whey protein. When I include it in my exercise program, seems I get better results than without it. It’s also helps me to get my daily protein intake in without having to eat a tone of chicken breast lol.

Whey protein helps in two ways.

Firstly, it gives you the protein to build muscles.

Secondly, it gives you the energy to get through the workout in the first place!

This is almost as important as the first point.

Very good information about the protein. I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant and was wondering if too much protein is bad.
