Living with back pain is no life at all. It can be extremely difficult to accomplish certain tasks, and even just sit comfortably without feeling some kind of pain.

Use Hot and Cold Therapy
Hot and cold therapy is a method proven to ease pain, swelling, and tension in the back area. If you’ve recently hurt your back, you’ll want to avoid using heat straight away as this can encourage swelling. Start off by using frozen vegetables or ice wrapped in a towel on your back and do that for a few days. You can then alternate something cold with something hot like a water bottle to help ease the tension.
Exercise
A while back, you would have been told by doctors to get plenty of rest if you had a bad back. However, it’s been proven that staying inactive can actually make your back worse. Get some exercise. Just make sure you’re doing it properly. You can walk, jog, or even do strength training. When strength training you need to make sure you’re always using proper form to avoid hurting your back further.
Stretch
Stretching is a wonderful way to relieve tension in the back and get rid of some of that pain. There are plenty of stretches you can try, such as the forward lunge and pigeon pose. Make time to stretch each day, especially after you exercise. Stretches help to release build up in the muscles and joints, so they’re an important part of staying healthy.
Get a Massage
Massage has plenty of benefits. Not only will it aid your back pain, it can also help sleep conditions, digestion, and well being. Unfortunately, we can’t all afford a regular massage. Sit and Stand Properly

See Your Doctor
If you still can’t handle your back pain or you have other symptoms along with it, you should see your doctor. They will tell you what’s wrong and give you advice. You may want to take pain relief, but bear in mind this should be a temporary solution.

Physio is great for chronic back pain, especially if you’ve got your back pain from an injury. You’ll learn exercises and stretches that will help you to recover much faster and get even better than you were before!
